Crimson Desert DLC armor can mean two different things: equipment added by October’s Charting the Unknown expansion, or the older Deluxe Pack rewards such as Kairos. Check the item’s name and ownership route before searching. Void equipment is collected through expansion exploration and encounters; Kairos is a Deluxe reward claimed through Add-ons. The Charter’s diving outfit is another separate case tied to the expansion’s preorder bonus.
For new expansion armor, plan around individual pieces. The Void chest, gloves, boots, cloak, and helm are not all granted by one boss or one chest. Some can be collected through hidden-chamber routes, while the storm-related pieces are best approached after progressing Kliff’s new story.
Identify the Armor Entitlement Before Travelling
The free Enhanced update does not replace the paid expansion or the Deluxe Pack. Updating an existing copy grants the Enhanced base-game improvements. It does not establish ownership of every armor bonus listed under the game’s add-ons.
| Equipment group | Acquisition context | First useful action |
|---|---|---|
| Kairos Plate Set | Deluxe Edition or Deluxe Pack | Check the eligible Add-ons reward |
| Grotevant Plate Set | PlayStation bonus context | Check the platform bonus entitlement |
| Charter’s Diving Set | Charting the Unknown preorder bonus | Claim the expansion’s eligible preorder reward |
| Void armor pieces | Charting the Unknown exploration and encounters | Choose the route for the individual piece |
| Other diving equipment | Expansion equipment and blueprint routes | Inspect Relic Exchange stock |
This distinction prevents two common mistakes: searching the ocean for a bonus you should redeem in a menu, and buying an older Deluxe item while expecting it to unlock the new expansion’s armor locations. Neither the word “DLC” nor an armor-like icon is precise enough to identify the product you need.
Use the actual reward name in your inventory or storefront entitlement. A base-game preorder and an expansion preorder are different purchases. Likewise, horse tack belongs to the mount’s equipment rather than the character’s armor slots.
Claim Older Deluxe Rewards Through Add-ons
The Kairos Plate Set contains the helm, gloves, boots, cloak, and body armor. The Deluxe reward group also includes the Balgran Shield and Exclaire horse tack. These are separate pieces, so inspect character equipment and horse equipment rather than expecting one outfit toggle to apply everything.
Open the pause menu, go to Others, and look for Add-ons through the available menu options. Select the eligible reward and claim it, then check inventory. The exact menu presentation can differ, so follow the Add-ons label rather than relying on a particular controller button from another platform.

Kairos is associated with Kliff. If you want equipment for Oongka or Damiane, do not assume a claim will create unrestricted versions for both. Check the compatible wearer on the piece you received.
After claiming, equip each intended piece and read its current values. The Deluxe outfit’s appearance is not a promise that it will outperform an already refined setup. A useful bonus can still be a collection or fashion choice at the stage your save has reached.
Plan the Void Set as Separate Routes
Void equipment is a conventional armor collection task with several destinations. Treat the set as a checklist of rewards rather than a single acquisition event. The matching sword is related to the chest route, but it does not automatically carry the remaining armor pieces with it.
| Void piece | Main route | Important distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Body armor | Buried Corridor boss-area chest | Defeating the boss and opening the armor chest are separate steps |
| Gloves | Room of Brass Shackles | The correct reward room is reached through a specific lever door |
| Boots | Tomb Raider’s Hidden Chamber | Follow the trap corridor to the reward-side lever |
| Cloak | Dried-Up Canal cave route | Storm-related story progress matters for a straightforward approach |
| Helm | Forgotten Burial Chamber in the storm area | Reach the central ruins and open the underground route |

Several entrances use unusual angular rock faces that can be passed through. Search for the specific entrance shown for that chamber rather than treating every desert cliff as an illusory wall. Once inside, the next problem is the dungeon route and its traps, not the surface marker.
The new individual Kliff story begins after Journey’s End. This matters for storm access, but it should not be turned into a blanket claim that every Void reward requires completing the campaign. Plan the accessible chambers and the story-dependent pieces separately.
Collect the Void Chest After the Boss
The Buried Corridor route leads through a concealed entrance into a trapped passage and then a boss chamber. Follow the corridor, use the lever that opens the way onward, and prepare for the encounter before entering the arena.
The boss rewards the Longsword of the Void. The body armor is in a chest in a side room reached from the same larger chamber. After the fight, return your attention to the room’s entrances and inspect the smaller doorway with torches rather than repeatedly trying to take the complete outfit from the boss’s remains.
Open the side-room chest and confirm that it contains Plate Armor of the Void. The weapon and body armor complete two related collection goals, but neither means you have the gloves, boots, cloak, or helm.
The chest is notable for a critical-related innate effect alongside its gear configuration. Compare that current piece with the chest you wear now, using equivalent refinement. Do not assume that the dramatic energy-sword effect associated with the matching weapon is an automatic full-set armor bonus.
Take the Gloves and Boots From Their Own Chambers
For the gloves, use the Room of Brass Shackles route in the Crimson Desert. Pass through its concealed angular-rock entrance, follow the chamber sequence, and pay attention to the traps as you progress. The final room has three lever-operated doors; the reward chest is behind the door on the right.
Other doors can expose traps rather than the reward. Keep the correct room and door in mind before pulling every lever. Once you open the intended chest, confirm the gloves and leave the remaining pieces as separate targets.
For the boots, use Tomb Raider’s Hidden Chamber near Trader’s Expanse. Enter through the concealed rock opening and follow the main corridor. Continue through the trap section and take the reward-side route at the end rather than the lever that opens another trap.

These are separate interiors with different layouts. A note saying “right door” for the gloves should not be carried across to the boots as a universal instruction. Match each direction to the chamber where it applies.
The armor’s individual effects also differ. Void gloves are associated with a health-siphon effect, while other pieces have their own properties. Read the collected item panel before treating every effect as shared by the full set or every listed attack value as applying to the same action.
Leave the Storm Pieces for the Appropriate Progression
The cloak route leads through the Dried-Up Canal area at the edge of the storm. Progressing Kliff’s expansion story makes that approach more practical than forcing a route while the area imposes restrictions. If a storm timer or access condition is blocking you, address that progression instead of repeatedly searching another cave for the same item.
Inside the cloak route, follow the chamber and corridor toward the lever that opens the adjacent reward room. The interior contains traps, so keep the reward route distinct from optional passages or return loops. Open the chest and confirm the cloak before marking that part of the collection complete.
The helm lies in the Forgotten Burial Chamber reached from ruins within the storm area. Look for the central ruin structure amid the surrounding sand, open the downward route with the appropriate Force Palm action, and continue through the underground passage. The barred reward room opens by lighting the two torches or braziers beside it.
A demonstration that drops from an Abyss location can show another approach, but it does not remove the need to identify the correct ruins and survive the arrival. For a normal collection route, settle the storm-related story access first rather than relying on a difficult descent into an obscured destination.
Treat Diving Armor as Exploration Equipment
Diving equipment is one of the expansion’s most useful specialized armor groups. Helmet and suit breathing effects are the major capacity pieces, while gloves and boots can contribute swimming movement. Refinement improves the exploration setup further.
If you own the Charter’s preorder entitlement, use Add-ons to claim it. The normal and light variants serve different character equipment contexts, so equip the intended wearer’s pieces. Claiming a set does not prove that the active character is already wearing it.
Without the preorder bonus, inspect Relic Exchange routes for blueprints and completed diving equipment. A blueprint still needs construction; it is not the same as receiving a wearable item. Breathing devices can add another useful equipment option for longer underwater journeys.
The purpose is more air and better movement for the route you are attempting. Deeper water drains oxygen faster, so a displayed breathing bonus should not become a guaranteed fixed dive duration. Confirm the equipped effects and watch the gauge during the actual descent.
Read New Armor Lists Without Assuming Complete Coverage
Charting the Unknown also includes armor beyond the named Void and diving groups. Demenissian Council pieces for Damiane and equipment such as Greymane Apprentice Combat Armor show that the expansion’s rewards serve different characters and activities.
A short list of newly catalogued items is not a complete acquisition route for every piece. Before making a long journey, identify whether the specific target comes from a chest, quest, vendor, blueprint, or claim menu. Do not substitute a nearby armor icon for the route to an item with a different name.
Check refinement context before using a stat table as a purchase decision. A value without a clear level is difficult to compare with your current equipment. Read the piece in your game and compare the configuration you can actually use, including its compatible wearer and effects.
Resolve Missing Rewards at the Correct Stage
For an absent menu reward, check account and entitlement first. For an uncollected exploration item, check the correct chamber and container. For an unavailable storm route, check Kliff’s progression. These are different problems and should not all be treated as a failed DLC installation.
The November 1 hotfix addresses a specific issue with key-item equipment becoming unequipped and duplicated after equipping a Greymane comrade and reloading or restarting. It does not list a general solution for every missing armor claim. Use the latest update available on your platform and identify the exact failed stage before repeating the acquisition process.
A complete result is the intended item collected, equipped on a compatible character, and configured for the job. Whether that result is an older Deluxe outfit, a specialized diving piece, or part of the Void set, its name and acquisition route tell you which step to take next.
